Oakley is 1!!

I cannot believe that my baby is one! I do not know where the time went. She was so funny on her birthday. She got spoiled rotten and didn't know which present to play with. I made her a butterfly cupcake cake. She decided instead of eating hers, she was going to feed it to Grandpa Hal. Her and Cash are so much fun. We just got our family pictures done and I will post them when they are done. Here are some pictures of what we have been up to. Today we went up and watched our nephew Troy play football in Jackson. He did so good. He is the one with orange socks on in the picture.

Witnessing a Miracle

I feel like I need to post this so I will be able to look back on it. I don't think I will forget it anytime soon, but just so I have it. So last night, Ty and I needed to go help Hal bring the cows up from the field. I decided to take the girls with me and we would just take the rhino. I decided the easiest thing to do was to put Oakley in her car seat and strap her into the rhino. We got down to the bottom of the field, and I had to hold the gate so we could sort. I kept looking back at the girls to make sure they were ok. All of a sudden, I heard the rhino start. I turned just as it came flying past me. Cashlee had somehow managed to push the break in which you have to have pushed in to start it, and had the gas pedal clear to the floor. They hit the post right to the side of me and it luckily turned them and headed them down the fence line. Ty and Hal were on horses trying to get close enough to them and I was running behind them. All I could think was please please let it stop. I looked up just to see them hit the ditch and run into the water. Cashlee must have hit her head on the steering wheel and it bounced her back and her foot came off the pedal. We ran up to them and Ty grabbed cash who was so scared and telling her dad I am sorry. I didn't mean too. I grabbed Oakley out of her car seat and was looking her over, and apprantly she was ok because she started laughing. Cash ended up with a huge bruise on her cheek, but that is it. I have never been so scared in my life nor do I want to ever feel like that again. It was a blessing that the post turned them, it was a blessing they landed where they did in the ditch. If they would have went a inch in either direction, the rhino would have tipped on its side. I am truelly grateful that someone was watching over them. It made us learn some valuable lessons, but it also made me realize how fast they could have been taken from me. I am so grateful that they are ok and am so grateful that I have the opportunity to be their mom. I also learned that the key comes out everytime in the RHino.

Watering Hole

So this summer we set up Hal and Dixie's pool. We only got to swim in it twice. Now the horses seem to think that it is the new hangout. They are so funny to watch. I think things are finally starting to slow down. I am so excited for fall to get here. Cashlee will be turning 3 and Oakley will be 1 in October. I cannot believe it. They are so funny and have quite the personalities. Oakley loves to ride in Grandma Dixie's scooter. She throws a fit if Grandma doesn't take her. Cashlee has become quite the little traveler. She is always at Grandma Dixie's or Grandma Teresa's and usually on Fridays is out helping Grandpa Hal with the chores.

Where has summer gone?

So we have been really busy this summer. Between weddings, haying, and playing there isn't a lot of time left. In July my fav cousin Trent got married. They are the cutest couple. I made them quilt which is only the second one that I've done and I quilted it all by myself! The picture doens't quite do it justice but oh well.

We had alot of fun at our Hepworth Ranch Rodeo this year. We even had some rodeo clowns. I think finally we are slowing down a bit. Oakley is growing so fast and is into everything. She has got such a cute personality. She never slows down, unless she is on a horse and then she actually sits still. cashlee is turning into quite the little girl. She is full of spunk and keeps our lives interesting. Our computer is down, so it might be awhile before I can post again, but here are some more pictures.

Crazy Summer

I thought this summer was going to be pretty layed back but the way it has started I don't know. It has been so hectic. Last wednesday my grandma passed away. It just so happened that Tyson and I were down in Spanish Fork so we drove into Salt Lake and got to be with her. She was such an amazing women and the best grandma. I had the opportunity to give the tribute on Saturday at her funeral. It was so hard to share memories and know that us grandkids wouldn't have anymore. I am so thankful to have the gospel and know that this isn't the last time we will get to see her. So after we made it through the funeral, my little brother graduated from Seminary on Sunday and graduates tonight. I can't believe he is that old. I am so proud of him and the great person he has become. Tyson is working for US foods and is studying to take his CDL driving test. He is a little stressed but I know he will do great! He tests sometime this week, I have to call today and find out. I have a wedding present that I have to have done by the first of July and I haven't even started it. My garden needs to get put in, my lawn mowed, the laundry done.Oakley has started crawling and is getting into everything. Cashlee growing like a weed, she is such a little firecracker. I hope I can get everything done and get to enjoy the sunshine!

Officially a MOM!

Today has been quite an interesting day. It has made me sit back and really think about being a mom. When Cashlee and Oakley were born, the first time I held them I was happy, overwhelmed, and trying to adjust to the thought that I was a mom. You want the best for your kids, and moms strive to give their whole heart to raising their kids. I have had many moments that have had me thinking of how blessed I am to be a mom, but today, I realized for the first time that officially I can say I am a mom.It is kind of graphic and long, so beware. It all started with Cashlee saying that her belly hurt. We had to run to town to get our dog that had a little operation to calm him down(I won't go into details.) So after picking him up and getting his pain meds, we were headed to Pizza Hut to support Heidi and LSR. Upon arriving, Cashlee informed me that she needed to throwup and sure enough up comes a popsicle into my hands.(Oh yes, I need to add that earlier in the week my little nephew also found it necessary to throw up on me and I also got to clean his up as well.) I then told Ty that we probably should go home, but Cash wanted to go in. So we headed in. It was great for the first couple of minutes and Cash even ate some pizza. Well we had just got our drinks and Cash informs me again that she needed to throw up. Well I had just stood up and up came everything onto me again. This time she managed to get my hair and both shirts I was wearing. So into the bathroom we headed and after cleaning up as much as possible we headed home. She felt a lot better and we were doing good. So since we have to keep an eye on our dog for a couple of days, he gets to stay in the house at night. We gave him his pill, and Ty decides to feed him. He hasn't eaten since yesterday so he ate a lot. I ran into the bedroom to get something and Tyson starts yelling that Roper just threw up all over the carpet. So out I come to the big mess. Tyson is in the kitchen freaking out saying he can't look at it or he will throw up. So me being the brave one grabs a bucket and plastic bag to grab everything and clean it up. Needless to say, I was very proud of myself and as I was sitting here tonight, had the thought that wow, I don't think 2 years ago you could have handled that. I guess this is just a little training that all moms get! Sorry so long, but I had to get everything in!

Easter Fun

I can't believe Easter has already come and gone. Time flies by so fast. We had such a great Easter. We got to color eggs with Ty's family and then we had an easter egg hunt at my parents house. Cashlee and Oakley loved it. Cash was like a little hunter, she would sit and look and try to see all the eggs and then sneak up on them. Oakley liked to hold the eggs and laugh at Cash. I can't believe how big Oakley is getting. She rolls everywhere and is starting to try to crawl. On tuesday night we went to Ogden for some meetings that Tyson had. The girls and I got to play at the hotel. It was nice to get away even though the weather was horrible. We got to go to our favorite store and my wonderful husband got me a new pair of boots and a hat. I love love them. I was so excited. I hope that summer comes soon.

A Tribute to Storme

This morning when Tyson went to check cows, he discovered that his dog Storme had passed sometime during the night. Tyson got him when he was in high school and they have been pretty inseparable since. When Ty and I were dating, we would take him on all of our horse rides. He loved being in the mountains. Everyone knew that if you threw a stick once for him, you better plan on doing it for awhile. He was so good with Cashlee. Last summer they loved to lay under the tree in our yard. He always would come and find Cash whenever we went outside. I am going to miss him so much, but I know that he had a great life! Here are some of my favorite pictures.

Spring Time Fun

It is finally starting to feel like spring! Lots of things have been happening since the last post. Tyson started working for US Foods the first of March. We have been waiting for everything to go through and he has been working for two weeks now. We got to go with him to Ogden on Tuesday for training so the girls and I bummed around. We found a park to play at and with the weather at 60 who could resist. We ended up staying the night and went swimming. Pretty pathetic that we have to go out of town to go swimming. We also have started to calve. It's finally warm enough for Cashlee to go help and she loves it. Oakley is getting so big and can almost sit up by herself. She loves to play with Cashlee and Cashlee loves to make her laugh. Here is some pictures of Cash helping feed. The one is of her sitting on my cow. Yes I have a cow. I was bound and determined to make at least one cow nice, and she fits. She will come out and find you so you will scratch her back.

Sledding!

The problem with living in the good ole Auburn Wyoming is that there is usually a 15 to 20 degree difference in our temperature and the towns around us. So last saturday it was so nice, the sun was shining, the snow was beginning to melt, but then we looked at our temp and it said 5 degrees. We have been waiting to take Cashlee sledding but it always is way cold over here. So we decided to go try the south end. By the time we got there is was 24 degrees which to us was a heat wave. We had a blast. Cash loved going down the hill and even hit a jump and stayed on. Her favorite though was making snow angels in the parking lot. Sad I know we drive her all the way up there and she would rather make snow angels. What a little stinker.

Girls just wanna have fun!

There really hasn't been anything too exciting going on, so I thought I would post some pictures of the girls! Oakley is three months old already. She is such a funny little baby. She likes to hear the sound of her voice, and she will smile at just about anything. Cashlee is doing really good. She definantly keeps me on my toes. We have enjoyed having Tyson home for awhile. He is waiting to start another job, and has got to spend a lot of time with the girls. I cannot wait until summer comes. I think I have cabin fever really bad. I can't wait until the girls and I can start our garden and just enjoy the sunshine.

Smokey

So forever tyson's dad has been saying that he wanted to get a new cowdog. We were just like ok, like that is ever going to happen. So finally on thursday, he told us that he was going to go get the little blue heeler. Cashlee was so excited to see it thursday night, but found out that grandpa wasn't going to get it until Friday. So finally on friday the little puppy was introduced to its new home. He is the cutest little thing. He did'nt quite know that to think of Cashlee at first, but he has finally got used to her very active personality. Today he followed her all around outside while she was helping dad and grandpa fix fence. Tyson took a couple of pictures of them, and they are so cute! It is so much fun to have a puppy around again!
