Officially a MOM!

Today has been quite an interesting day. It has made me sit back and really think about being a mom. When Cashlee and Oakley were born, the first time I held them I was happy, overwhelmed, and trying to adjust to the thought that I was a mom. You want the best for your kids, and moms strive to give their whole heart to raising their kids. I have had many moments that have had me thinking of how blessed I am to be a mom, but today, I realized for the first time that officially I can say I am a mom.It is kind of graphic and long, so beware. It all started with Cashlee saying that her belly hurt. We had to run to town to get our dog that had a little operation to calm him down(I won't go into details.) So after picking him up and getting his pain meds, we were headed to Pizza Hut to support Heidi and LSR. Upon arriving, Cashlee informed me that she needed to throwup and sure enough up comes a popsicle into my hands.(Oh yes, I need to add that earlier in the week my little nephew also found it necessary to throw up on me and I also got to clean his up as well.) I then told Ty that we probably should go home, but Cash wanted to go in. So we headed in. It was great for the first couple of minutes and Cash even ate some pizza. Well we had just got our drinks and Cash informs me again that she needed to throw up. Well I had just stood up and up came everything onto me again. This time she managed to get my hair and both shirts I was wearing. So into the bathroom we headed and after cleaning up as much as possible we headed home. She felt a lot better and we were doing good. So since we have to keep an eye on our dog for a couple of days, he gets to stay in the house at night. We gave him his pill, and Ty decides to feed him. He hasn't eaten since yesterday so he ate a lot. I ran into the bedroom to get something and Tyson starts yelling that Roper just threw up all over the carpet. So out I come to the big mess. Tyson is in the kitchen freaking out saying he can't look at it or he will throw up. So me being the brave one grabs a bucket and plastic bag to grab everything and clean it up. Needless to say, I was very proud of myself and as I was sitting here tonight, had the thought that wow, I don't think 2 years ago you could have handled that. I guess this is just a little training that all moms get! Sorry so long, but I had to get everything in!

Welcome to the "Mommyhood"! I understand completely. What a trooper, and I hope that everyone starts to feel better soon.
